DESCRIPTION:

So what’s this new Thunderbolt Plus wax? Glad you asked. While on our quest to make the next generation ski wax our engineers came across several very promising additives. One of these, additive “J”, was such strong contender as a Fluorocarbon replacement we continued to develop and test with it even after we moved forward with the Thunderbolt additive. The real genius came when we started mixing the Thunderbolt additive along with additive “J”. This is where the PLUS comes in. All Thunderbolt Plus products have two highly engineered wax additives that break away from the Fluorocarbon legacy.

In benchtop testing we could see immediate results. When the two additives where mixed we would see how the two additives complimented each other. Additive “J” provided a stronger framework for the Thunderbolt additive to do its job. Providing increased durability and glide.

The single additive Thunderbolt is a replacement for our old low Fluorocarbon (HSLF) line of waxes. While Thunderbolt Plus is a dual additive wax replacement for the Fast Wax HSF line of ski waxes. Thunderbolt Plus 10 is a direct replacement for HSF 10, Thunderbolt Plus 20 is a direct replacement for HSF 20, and so on.

Fast Wax Thunderbolt Plus 30 is a warm weather racing ski wax with two non-fluorocarbon speed additives. Created to address the challenging waxing issues you experience just above and below freezing. The combination of different waxes fight together to give you that edge, and the speed additives ensure you have as many gears as you need, to go as fast as you want.

Wax Technology:

Thunderbolt Plus 30 is an engineered blend of several pure paraffin waxes each selected for a key property to form an exceptional ski wax that works over a wide range of temperatures and snow conditions. This selective blending process gives Fast Wax skier’s an advantage in speed and durability over other products. All Thunderbolt Plus products excel when when skiing in cold conditions with high humidity, which means the humidity at or above 50%.

A mix of hard waxes to provide a solid foundation for Thunderbolt Plus 30. These hard waxes help keep the wax in the ski as the snow attempts to pull it out. Ironed in wax provides extra durability. The pores of the ski base will expand from the irons heat allowing wax to sink deeper in to it.  Now your ski or snowboard can go for miles and miles with excellent glide. You want to be on the hill or trail and not stuck in the wax room, right?

When to use:

The best time to use Thunderbolt Plus 30 is when the temperature is between 20 and 40 degrees  and humidity is over 50%. Here dry and wet friction starts to rob you of your speed. Fight back and stay fast. By using a ski wax that is engineered from the ground up for durability and speed.
